EXPECT DELAYS:

ROCK SLIDES:  Due to rock slides along State Route 299,  be advised there may be days in which Trinity Transit cannot guarantee service between Willow Creek and Weaverville/Redding. Even when cleared to run there may be significant delays and connections with Redwood Transit System in Willow Creek may be missed.   If you do not make the 9:30 AM connection in Willow Creek, there is not another Redwood Transit Bus to Arcata until 4:30 PM.

ROAD WORK ON THE HWY 299 BUCKHORN GRADE:

CALTRANS REPORT 4/5/16: “Regularly scheduled construction on State Route 299’s Capstone project between Redding and Weaverville will begin Tuesday, April 5, 2016. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Delays are expected to be 30-45 minutes. Additional blasting may take place in 7-14 days. Please continue to monitor the Caltrans District 2 Facebook page and Twitter @Caltrans D2 for any changes to traffic control hours. “

This significantly affects Trinity Transit buses traveling to and from Redding and subsequent connections/transfers to other transportation services.  Trinity Transit cannot guarantee your connections to Hayfork, Lewiston and/or Willow Creek.  Please plan accordingly.

BRIDGE WORK NEAR BURNT RANCH:  One-way traffic may cause delays as the long-term bridge work just east of Burnt Ranch continues.

We will be in operation as conditions allow and as established by CalTrans.

Please call Trinity Transit at 623-1365 before you travel.

For alternative transportation service between Redding and Arcata, you may want to check the Greyhound bus schedule at greyhound.com

TRINITY TRANSIT IS NOT AT LIBERTY TO REQUEST THAT OTHER BUS LINES/TRANSPORTATION SERVICES WAIT FOR OUR DELAYED BUSES/PASSENGERS.  PLEASE SCHEDULE YOUR TRIPS ACCORDINGLY, WITH A LOT OF CUSHION TIME!

HOWEVER, TRINITY TRANSIT CAN RADIO AHEAD TO OTHER TRINITY TRANSIT BUS DRIVERS TO REQUEST THAT, IF POSSIBLE, THEY WAIT FOR PASSENGERS WHO ARE CONNECTING FROM ONE TRINITY TRANSIT BUS TO ANOTHER.   PLEASE INFORM THE BUS DRIVERS OF YOUR CONNECTION NEEDS AND THEY WILL DO THEIR BEST TO FACILITATE YOUR CONNECTIONS WHENEVER POSSIBLE.
