TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR TRINITY COUNTY RESIDENTS

Trinity County residents who require assistance to go to and from medical or social service appointments can obtain Trinity Transit passes and fuel vouchers through the Human Response Network (HRN) https://www.hrntrinity.org/. Qualified participants are: (1) residents of Trinity County, (2) unable to transport themselves because they have no transportation or are unable to drive because of medical reasons or advanced age (65 years of age or older), (3) are low income (do not exceed 200% of poverty level established by the IRS) and have no money for gas, and (4) required to sign the indemnification and hold harmless clause. Income qualification and appointment verification is required.

VOLUNTEER DRIVERS

Drivers can volunteer to transport passengers to and from medical or social service appointments. Fuel reimbursements ($0.59 per mile) are available for volunteer drivers through HRN https://www.hrntrinity.org/. Qualified volunteer drivers must provide proof of a current driver’s license, registration, vehicle insurance, and agree to sign the indemnification and hold harmless clause. HRN will not make driver referrals. Individuals needing assistance must obtain their own driver and vehicle.

Contact HRN for any additional information or to schedule an appointment.
